house rules & terms of service

house rules

This summary is provided for your convenience. It IS NOT a substitute for reading the full Terms of Service Agreement linked here. By initiating a project with RRA, you are responsible for abiding by our Terms of Service Agreement.

Unless we agreed upon something different in writing, the following are our default house rules:

Payment

  • 50% of the project fee is due up-front. The second 50% is due within 2-weeks of the final delivery.

  • We’ll provide you an invoice and send reminders.

  • If we’re still waiting on payment after 2-weeks, a late fee of $25.00 per day late will be applied.

  • Our payment method options are Zelle, Venmo, or Stripe/Paypal.

  • Bulk discounts are available if you’d like multiple projects worked on within a year.

Turnaround Time

  • Turnaround time is dependent on our current queue of projects. We do our best to turnaround work in a timely manner. Your spot is locked in once we receive your deposit and files.

  • If a quicker turnaround is needed and we are able to accommodate, a rush fee will be applied:

    • +25% for first-pass turnaround within 3-days of initiating the project.

    • +50% for first-pass turnaround within 24-hours of initiating the project.

Revisions

  • Included are up to 2 rounds of revisions. Additional revision rounds are $25.00 each.

  • When a delivery is made, you have 1-week to submit a revision request.

  • Re-recorded or new stems submitted during revisions are $25.00 additional per stem. The only exception to this is if there was a technical issue with a stem when it was bounced and submitted.

  • Significant revisions will cost extra. By significant we mean, for example, a foundational project change after 20 hours of work has been put in, or changes beyond the original scope. In these cases, we’ll let you know what the extra work is, the associated cost, and we’ll get your approval before proceeding.

Cancellations

  • If you need to cancel a project, we ask that you let us know in writing as soon as possible.

  • As long as we haven’t started work on the project, you’ll get a full refund of anything you paid. If we have started, we’ll charge a percentage of the project fee proportional to the amount of work completed.

Copyright and Confidentiality

  • Generally speaking, you retain all copyrights for your work. We retain no ownership.

  • Any materials you provide us will remain confidential. We’ll stick to the project scope only.

Name, Likeness, and Portfolio Use

  • We may use your name specifically in association with your project—

  • For example, we may feature your project on our website as a past client for our public portfolio, or use your work in marketing material. In these cases, we’ll be respectful of your timelines and not publish anything related to you or your work before you have.

Other

  • We aren’t responsible for any damages that occur as a result of you showing off your project.

  • Practicality: we’re not magicians (but we like to think we’re pretty dang close). Our job is to bring the BEST out of the source audio that you provide us with. You acknowledge that certain imperfections inherent to raw recordings cannot always be fully repaired.

If you have any questions about these terms, give us a shout! We’d be super happy to help.
